Can a burger, fries and shake be a healthy dinner option for kids? Absolutely! In this class each student (ages 10-14) will be making a turkey slider, carrot stick fries and shakes made with the healthiest of ingredients. So grab your apron and prepare to enjoy a fun meal that will be sure to pass mom’s approval.
This class is geared towards kids age 10-14 years old. Parents are not required to stay (but are welcome to observe).
Cost: $5 per child (parent observers are free)
Instructor Bio: Kristine is a chef, culinary instructor, and ServSafe sanitation instructor in the greater Bloomington-Normal area. She has worked as a sorority chef, culinary director, baker, and more recently as a chef instructor at Logan Correctional Facility for Women. She currently teaches culinary arts classes at both Heartland Community College and at Green Top Grocery.
